Peach Sorbet
This Peach Sorbet is a smooth and summery frozen dessert that captures the delicate sweetness of ripe peaches. Naturally dairy-free and incredibly easy to make — no ice cream maker needed — it’s the perfect way to cool down on warm days or add a refreshing finish to a seasonal meal.

Prep – 15 minutes
Freezing – 4 hours

4-6 servings
- 4 cups (600g) ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped (fresh or thawed frozen)
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) water
- 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
- In a small saucepan, heat sugar, water, and salt over medium heat until sugar is fully dissolved. Let the syrup cool completely.
- In a blender or food processor, purée the peaches, lemon juice, and cooled syrup until smooth.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp (optional, for smoother texture).
- Pour mixture into a shallow freezer-safe container.
- Freeze for 45 minutes, then stir vigorously with a fork to break up ice crystals.
- Repeat every 30–45 minutes for about 4 hours, until smooth and scoopable.
- Cover and freeze until ready to serve.
Tips & Tricks
Use fully ripe peaches for the best sweetness and flavor — peel if the skins are bitter.
Add a tablespoon of lemon juice to brighten the flavor and preserve the sorbet’s color.
A splash of vodka or white rum will reduce iciness and improve scoopability (optional).
Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving for a perfect texture.
Blend until very smooth, then strain for an ultra-silky finish, if preferred.
Serve in chilled bowls or glasses with thin peach slices or a mint sprig for a pretty touch.
Pair with a shortbread cookie, spoon over grilled peaches, or layer into a fruit parfait.
Excellent as a light dessert or palate cleanser between savory courses.
